‘Flesh of the spirit’

This body of work is an invitation to wonder in a place where dreams become flesh and blood, where the subconscious flows into the spirit and soul. Flesh of the Spirit is an attempt to trace the uncanny dialogue of dreams and the significance of their subliminal meaning through childhood memory.
I explore how the mind reimagines the past to make sense of the present. While protecting the soft illusion and deceivingly fantastical language of dreams, photography becomes a great lens to see through, as it is a medium associated with memory and deception. These photos hint that our subconscious is cyclical; everything we experience returns to us, and I ask you to recognise this through my images. To see the patterns in the shadows of an echoed recollection.
