“Rouged” is an exploration into an artificial reality. It touches on my own experience as a woman growing up in an age of hedonistic media saturation. The images aim to critique the media and its obsession with fabricating women into something desirable for the consumption of the male gaze. While also suggesting the surreal realities it creates.
